Howdy, my name is Will and I’m a photographer from Norman, Oklahoma.
For a few months, I’ve been working on a personal and intimate photo series consisting mainly of still-life photography, and when I’m not doing that I’m creative directing / photographing portraits of my friends.
I’d say my influences vary. While I love viewing and admiring the works of the endless talented photographers out there, whether they’re a renowned professional or a hobbyist, I’m inspired by all different kinds of media.
My ideal photo is one that is very strong in terms of using basic artistic elements like line and light to create emotion, as well as interesting and unique in terms of subject matter and style. Essentially, a photo that moves somebody and previews a perspective they’ve maybe never experienced or found significant.
In the near future, I plan on just trying to grow more technically and stylistically, finishing my current series and working on more narrative-driven series’, and improve my portraits and hopefully extend that to working with models or other artists for editorial work.
